Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a linear polymer, its products are mainly divided into dry powder and colloidal two forms. According to its structure, it can be divided into non-ionic, anionic and cationic types. Products have been widely used in papermaking, mineral processing, oil production, metallurgy, building materials, sewage treatment and other industries.
Polyacrylamide can be used as lubricant, suspension agent, clay stabilizer, oil displacement agent, water loss agent, water retention agent and thickening agent, and is widely used in various fields.
Application
What is a water retaining admixture ?
Admixtures that can reduce water loss in concrete or mortar are called water retaining admixture.
The addition of acrylamide to concrete can reduce the brittleness of concrete, improve its flexibility, increase the shrinkage rate, and greatly enhance the bending strength, interlayer bond strength, durability and bending toughness of concrete than ordinary concrete, and there is a point that polyacrylamide can enhance the resistance of concrete.
