Product Description
Sodium nitrite (NaNO2) is an inorganic salt formed by ionizing nitrite ions with sodium. Sodium nitrite is easily deliverable and easily soluble in water and liquid ammonia, its aqueous solution is alkaline, and its pH is about 9, slightly soluble in ethanol, methanol, ether, and other organic solvents.
Sodium nitrite is a strong oxidizing agent and has reductive properties, which will gradually oxidize in the air, and the surface will become sodium nitrate, which can also be oxidized by oxidizing agents; In case of weak acid decomposition, brown nitrogen dioxide gas is released; Contact with organic matter and reducing agent can cause explosion or combustion, and release toxic irritant nitrogen oxide gas; In case of strong oxidants can also be oxidized, especially ammonium salt, such as ammonium nitrate, ammonium persulfate and so on at room temperature, that can interact with high heat, causing combustion of combustible materials. Sodium nitrite reacts with oxygen to form sodium nitrate when exposed to air. If heated above 320 ° C, it decomposes to produce oxygen, nitrogen oxide, and sodium oxide. Contact with organic matter is easy to burn and explode.
Sodium nitrite is used in the process of mixing cement and concrete materials, to reduce the effect of freezing damage at low temperatures, to a certain extent, it is a role of rust prevention and part of the coagulation effect, sodium nitrite must pay attention to the use of problems when used as antifreeze, most of them are used at zero temperature.
Application
As a concrete admixture, sodium nitrite can play three roles:
1) As an early strength agent, improve the early strength of concrete;
2) As a rust inhibitor to prevent corrosion of steel bars;
3) As an antifreeze to prevent freezing damage to construction concrete in winter.
Silk, linen bleaching agent, metal heat treatment agent; Corrosion inhibitor for steel; Antidotes for cyanide poisoning, laboratory analytical reagents, used as hair color agent, anti-microbial agent, preservative in meat processing. It has applications in bleaching, electroplating, and metal treatment and is called industrial salt.

1.Package: 50kg bag and 1000kg ton bag
2.Storage: Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat. Should be stored separately from acids, etc
The shelf life is one year (12 months)
Technology Service
Sodium nitrite should be placed in a low-temperature, dry, ventilated warehouse. The doors and Windows are tight to prevent direct sunlight. It can be stored with other nitrates other than ammonium nitrate, but it can be stored in isolation from organic matter, combustible material, reducing agents, and isolated from the fire source.
