Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose .HPMC is a non-ionic ,water soluble cellulose ether that form films, water-retentions, stability, adhesiveness ,especially widely used for construction materials because it is chosen to enhance adhesion, water retention and lubricity，shrink and crack resistance.
Application
Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) can be used as thickener, dispersant, emulsifier and film forming agent. Its industrial-grade products can be used in daily chemicals, electronics, synthetic resins, buildings and coatings.
In the formulation of building materials, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) can be used to:
1). Binder and caulk for gypsum based tape;
2). Cement-based bricks, tiles and foundation bonding;
3) Plaster based on gypsum board;
4). Cement-based structural mortar;
5). Paint and paint remover formulations.
