Product Description
Rongalite is prepared by rereduction of formalin combined with sodium bisulfite. The chemical formula is CH2(OH)SO2Na, white lump or crystalline powder, no smell or slight smell of leek; Soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol. It is more stable at room temperature, has strong reducibility at high temperature and has bleaching effect. In case of acid decomposition, hydrogen sulfide is released, stable at PH > 3, stable to alkali. It is often used as discharge agent and reducing agent in printing and dyeing industry to produce indigo dye and VAT dye. However, it shall not be used as a food bleaching additive, and it is strictly prohibited to import.
Application
1.Mainly used as a discharging agent ,color-discharging agent ,reductant in printing and dyeing industry,as an activating agent for production styrene-butadise rubber and synthetic resin.
2.Also be used to decolourize and bleach some organic matters .As a bleaching agent in synthetic rubber ,sugar-making ,and food industries.
