Product Description
Ethylene glycol is the simplest aliphatic dihydric alcohol with chemical properties of alcohols such as being capable of generating ether, ester, or being oxidized into acid or aldehyde as well as being condensed to form ether or being substituted by halogen. Its reaction with acyl chloride or acid anhydride generally forms di-esters.
Application
· Concrete Hardening Accelerating/Anti-freezing Admixture
To increase the growth rate of concrete strength as soon as possible, the mix ratio of concrete should be adjusted appropriately, and some early strength agents and antifreeze should be added. Ethylene glycol was cleverly placed in hardened concrete by using ceramic sand soaking, polyvinyl alcohol, and cement paste coating without affecting the early hydration of cement and other cementified materials. Using the very low freezing point of ethylene glycol solution, the concrete with a high freezing resistance grade was prepared.
· Used in the pharmaceutical industry
